In different languages Gujiya is also called Gughara, Pedakiya, a karanji or Kajjikayalu. Gujiya is made out of Suji, maida and filled with a mixture of sweet Khoya / Mawa, dry fruits, sugar, coconut and fried in oil. Gujiya is also known as a sweet deep-fried dumpling, native to the Indian subcontinent. There are different ways of making Gujiyas. Today we are going to make 2 types of Gujiyas with 8 different shapes from single recipe. Yes, you got it right. We are making Crispy and sugar coated gujiya which can be stored for up to 6 months in a air tight container. Lets start with the recipe.

Ingredients for Gujiya
- 1/2 kg All Purpose Flour (Maida)
- 10 tbsp Pure Ghee (Desi ghee)
- 1 cup desiccated coconut (Nariyal Buraada)
- 1 cup semolina (Suji/rawa)
- 250 gm Mawa/khoya (Click here for the recipe)
- 1 cup dry fruits
- 3/4 cup Sugar (Chinni)
- Oil to fry

- 2 cup water
- 3 cup Sugar
